Po Purple Releases New Melodic Drill Joint: Corey
Coming off the back of the successful release of ‘Control, Alt, Delete’, Po Purple unveils the official visuals for his latest drop “Corey”.
An upbeat, melodic drill joint produced by Razz Beats that speaks on the life of a young menacing troublemaker who later in life had to deal with the repercussions of his actions.
Po Purple combines Drill-fuelled beats, his raspy tone, witty lyricism, melodic synths, and a cutting-edge instrumental with heavy bass throughout. inviting fans and listeners alike to get more acquainted with him as he hones in on his craft.
Speaking on the single Po Purple commented “My second release to the world of music, and I’m going for it full throttle. My name is PO and I like purple, and I say worddd”.
ABOUT PO PURPLE
Hailing from South London is Loso, otherwise known as Po Purple. Infatuated with music from a young age his sisters music taste played an avid role in him discovering his love for the art. Listening to household names including Bone Thugs N Harmony, Snoop Dogg, Biggie Smalls, Nas, and many more, it didn’t take long for him start putting pen to paper and attempt to rhyme and storytell in the same way.
Fast forward to his late teens, Po Purple studied a Music Technology course and, in that time, broadened his reach by playing at various talent competitions and open mic nights. Later discovering he had anxiety after various traumatic events, his ongoing battle found him struggling to step outside.
Reigniting his creativity within music he re-gained his purpose and strength and joined a course at the Notting Hill Academy of Music, re-focusing his energy into building his artistry. Offering a unique perspective both lyrically and visually, Po Purple is positioning himself accordingly to continue leaving a striking impact on the UK Drill scene. And if ‘Corey’ is anything to go by we can only expect phenomenal things from Po Purple going forward.
