The Olympus TG-4 camera is a Prime Example of Photographic Versatility

The Olympus Tough TG-4 adds RAW image capture and multiple fun shooting modes, helping it leap to the front of the pack when it comes to entry-level cameras.

Imaging performance is solid for its class, but where this camera separates itself is through its fun-to-use shooting features and versatility. What we mean by versatility, this camera delivers the most bang for its buck.

Not only does it have the ability to record 1080P video, capture images at 16MP resolution, but the TG-4’s ultra-bright high-speed F2.0 lens captures lightfast. It’s easy to nail blur-free shots as quick as the action happens and shoot crisp, detailed images with minimal noise in low light with this camera. Plus, control the focus range of the background with the Aperture Priority Mode for amazing results.

Not to mention it’s waterproof up to 50 feet and shockproof up to 20 feet!

What has impressed us about this camera is the amazing content quality, WiFi capabilities, GPS and compass, and 18mm wide angle lenses with zoom options. Oh, and they live up to their “Tough” moniker – these cameras can take a beating.

While you’d never know by looking at it, the TG-4 is a significant upgrade over its predecessor with the addition of Raw support. Olympus’ cool ‘Live Composite Mode’, a pair of custom setting spots on the mode dial, and additional underwater modes are also new features. This camera made our list for good reason and we recommend it for any entry-level photographers!
