Lauren Rottet, internationally celebrated architect and designer and founding principal/president of Rottet Studio, in partnership with Turri, makers of exquisite modern luxury furniture, will debut fresh furnishings that represent a new collaboration between Rottet Collection and Turri during Milan Design Week (MDW) April 7-13, 2025 at the Italian brand’s newly renovated flagship.

Furniture from the upcoming partnership will be displayed along with pieces designed and made specifically for the week in an exhibition that is rightly called, “Weaving the World,” highlighting the artisan-led story.

A panel discussion emphasizing the theme will take place Thursday, April 10 at 5 pm.

Highlights of the installation include the Rottet Collection designed and Turri-produced James Desk in the office space. “This was conceived for the study of a home in the world’s tallest all-residential tower, Central Park Tower, for which we designed all the interiors,” said Rottet.  “We liked the name James Desk as my father’s name was James—while conjuring care and precision,” Rottet added about her doctor dad.  The desk will be positioned next to a bookshelf incorporating classic design books from Rizzoli Galleria.

“Split Face,” a new line by Rottet for Atelier Vierkant of 7-foot larger-than-life planters in rounded forms of textured clay, covered in a gold reflective glaze that will be artfully arranged in the courtyard.  The bedroom vignette will include a sleek, curved lounge chair and ottoman resting on a new handmade rug from Sacco Carpet that Rottet designed to complement her Scutoid Collection.  The installation will read organic, nonlinear and is an expression of natural elements incorporated into interiors. “The ‘scutoid’ shape mimics the formation of organic cells bound together,” advised Rottet. “It’s the shape between two cells, representing nature, and not rectangular, man-made forms.”

Other global makers to be featured include Texan Kyle Bunting’s patchwork hide rugs, Italian ceramicist Paola Paronetto’s vessels, Pimar Limestone accessories and vases by Gaetano Pesce, Campana brothers and Enzo Mari from Corsi Design.

The panel discussion will take place inside the Turri Flagship on Thursday, April 10 at 5pm where representatives from each maker brand will discuss their design ethos and  how they work with firms like Rottet Studio to create memorable, award-winning spaces. Featured panelists include Lauren Rottet, Rottet Collection; Moreno Vitaloni, Turri; Dries Janssen, Atelier Vierkant; Paola Paronetto; and Cristina Antolino, Sacco.

“Weaving the World” will debut at Turri, Via Borgospesso 11, Milan, Italy and open daily 10 am to 9 pm during Milan Design Week, April 7- 13, 2025
