In just about every region of the world where vaping is legal, Lost Mary is among the top five most popular brands.

That’s a huge accomplishment for any company in the vaping industry because brand popularity tends to be very regional in nature.

A brand that’s extremely popular in one country may find it almost impossible to break through in other regions. For a perfect example of that, just look at the difficulty JUUL had in the rest of the world while they were at the top of the charts in the United States.

One of the reasons why Lost Mary is so popular is because of their enormous flavor selection. The full list of Lost Mary flavors includes more than 100 options in all, including some incredibly creative flavor profiles that no other brand has ever attempted to duplicate. The other reason why people love Lost Mary is because their hardware is reliable – which is why you’re going to feel pretty surprised if you have a Lost Mary that isn’t hitting but is lighting up.

Here’s the good news. Unless the device is damaged or out of e-liquid, you can almost always fix a Lost Mary that isn’t hitting – and in this guide, we’re going to explain how to do it. You’ll be back to vaping before you know it. Let’s get down to business.

The Battery Is Dead

The first thing that you should do when your Lost Mary isn’t hitting is check the screen or indicator light to see what it’s doing. If you have a device with a smart screen, has the battery meter reached the bottom? If your device has an indicator light instead of a screen, is the light flashing when you try to vape? Your Lost Mary has a dead battery. Connect it to your computer to recharge it.

When you connect your Lost Mary to a power source, the screen or light should turn on to show that the battery is charging. If the device has a screen, it’s done charging when the battery meter is full. If it has a light, it’s done charging when the light turns off.

If the light or screen doesn’t turn on, your Lost Mary isn’t charging. Here’s how to troubleshoot that issue.

  • Use a different USB cable.
  • Make sure that the Lost Mary’s charging port is clean.
  • Try connecting your Lost Mary to a different power source, but don’t use the wall charger for a device like a PC or smartphone.

The Device Is Damaged

The most common reason why a Lost Mary lights up but doesn’t hit is because the battery is dead. Another reason why the screen can flash, though, is because the device is damaged. Did your Lost Mary stop working because you dropped it on a sidewalk or in a container of water? In either of these cases, the device can develop a short circuit, making the device no longer safe to use. It’s even possible that dropping the device caused physical damage to the battery, which is even worse because deformation of the pouch or canister can cause permanent chemical changes in a battery cell.

If your Lost Mary stopped working because you dropped it, you should recycle your device and get a new one because there’s no way to guarantee that it’s safe to use.

The Device Is Out of E-Liquid

If your Lost Mary isn’t flashing or showing an empty e-liquid meter – and it seemed to be working normally until it stopped hitting – it’s possible that it’s simply out of e-liquid. In this case, the device will either produce a burnt flavor, or it won’t produce any vapor at all.

You can usually tell that a Lost Mary is nearly out of vape juice because the flavor quality will drop noticeably when the device’s tank is almost dry. You might be able to continue using your device for a little while longer, but at this point, you definitely need to make sure that you have a new vape ready to go.

The Airflow Vent Is Blocked

Do you have a brand-new Lost Mary that isn’t hitting but is lighting up? If it’s difficult to draw air through the device, use this section to troubleshoot your vape. If air flows through the device easily, scroll down to the next section.

Like all disposable vapes, Lost Mary devices use airflow sensors that enable them to turn on automatically when you puff on them. The sensor can’t work, though, if the device’s airflow channel is blocked – and you’ll know this is the case because you’ll find it hard to puff on the device.

There are three reasons why your Lost Mary’s airflow channel could be blocked.

  • If your Lost Mary has an adjustable airflow vent, the slider could be closed. Move the slider to open the vent.
  • If you’ve just removed the Lost Mary from the package, make sure that you’ve removed the factory sticker covering the airflow vent. There could also be a silicone plug in the mouthpiece, and you’ll need to remove that as well.
  • If your device isn’t new, check the vent with a flashlight. It’s possible that pocket lint is stuck inside it. You can remove it with a toothpick or safety pin.

The Airflow Sensor Isn’t Working Correctly

The last reason why your Lost Mary might be lighting up and not hitting – particularly if it’s a new device and has never worked – is because the automatic airflow sensor isn’t working. Don’t panic because this problem is often fixable. Here’s how to do it.

  • Tapping the device against your hand a few times can often get the airflow sensor unstuck. Tap your Lost Mary and try using it again. If it works, you’re all set.
  • If your Lost Mary still isn’t working, try puffing much more firmly. If the airflow sensor is stuck in the inactive position, this might get it moving. Once you get some vapor out of the device, you should be able to vape normally.
