The South-Central Trinidad native artist John Orpheus released his new single, ‘Electric’, alongside its official music video.

Featuring rapper and composer Jordan Hamilton‘Electric’ has that big pop sound with an island vibe.

“The official video [for ‘Electric’] features big doses of black joy,” Orpheus says. “I’m singing about adoring loved ones, and I made the song and video with people who I have worked with for so long that they are like family—Jordan Hamilton, producer GawdDammitMichael, Chaenel Mattis, Patrick Hodgson. They got that electricity I adore.”

Sharing more about the song itself, Orpheus reveals,

“‘Electric’ is about the moment chemistry strikes. That initial spark when you first decide that someone is in your tribe. There is an activation that floods our senses with hope and joy and longing. The magic that catches our eye and gets us all in our feels.”

With this new track, the multi-cultural musical artist wants you to smile at your partner while singing the chorus to them; to text an old friend just to say “hello.”

“Celebrate the people you love and always remind yourself why you first loved them,” he concludes.
