Katari G. is a Barcelona-based artist who creates music, graffiti, sports, and fashion in unique forms.

Influenced by the pleasure of being authentic, he leads through the courage to love and trust people. An entrepreneur, basketball player, and DJ, he draws inspiration from the happiness and rebelliousness of his culture.

Born in Bogotá, he now lives in Barcelona, where he drives Ball Inn — a platform that brings together the Streetball and Basketball community of the city. Its strong reception over the last 3 years has led to collaborations with the Euroleague and Extreme Barcelona. He directs the “Off The Court” division, where rappers of the city gather and flow over beats, dancers move with bounce rhythm, unique garments and sneakers transcend history, tattoos and DJ sets connect with basketball across online platforms and live events supported by sponsors such as Wilson, FootShop, Hoop, Monster Energy, Gudslip, and 24 Segons.

Katari G builds strong relationships with brands thanks to his authenticity, which also makes him part of the Converse All Star program in Barcelona. None of this would be possible without his multi-dimensional artistic talent. A digger of new rhythms and lyricist with his own songs released since 2016, he also uses graffiti on garments that transcend “wearable art”—where fashion and graffiti merge into a simple and creative aesthetic.

“Less is more” is his motto, shaped by his journey of stripping the abstract and complex down to the simple and concrete. A rhythm explorer, movement creator, between the street and the boutique, effort and abundance.

Katari aims to position himself increasingly in Europe with an international focus. See below as we interview with Katari about his upbringing, favorite inspirations, how basketball impacts him, being an artist, making music and more!

Who are your favorite inspirations and why?

My biggest personified inspirations would be:

Salvador Dalí — for applying science to art and provoking through it.
Diego Rivera — for the majesty and rebelliousness of his works and the everyday life he captures.
Jan Van Eyck — because his art allows me to travel back in time with clarity.
LeBron James — the GOAT.
Latin American music — champeta, dembow, salsa.
Mercedes Sosa — an Argentine singer who reminds me of the joy and meaning of my roots.

What do you hope to change with your work & success?

First, to build bridges more easily. From basketball, with the support of a larger community: to facilitate communication channels and creative spaces where sports and art meet. First in Europe, where I live, and once the project is more developed: in my home country, Colombia. To inspire across continents.

Where are you from originally?

I’m from Bogotá, Colombia <3 :)

Social media is the widest method of information sharing today. Do you think this will change or only evolve?

I believe it will continue evolving, and with artificial intelligence there will be more access to information and creation. That’s why I try to maintain a healthy relationship with my devices, because digital stimuli keep growing.

I also value building local communities and having physical spaces to share and create — word of mouth, real presence. That connection can’t be replaced by devices.

What is a current challenge for you and how would you approach it?

My biggest challenge these days is working on my soul: Patience, presence, self-love, connection with God — and for me, this is approached by using time in my favor. Meditating, practicing.

At the same time, I’m preparing myself to become a better artist and leader of my ideas: giving back to the community, studying, connecting with more experienced entrepreneurs and artists, multiplying opportunities, and opening a field with an international vision.

What was the inspiration for the development of Ball Inn EU?

The philosophy of Ball Inn is “On & Off The Court,” and we dream of a place where all these creative forces — sports and culture — can come together. I arrived in Barcelona wanting to create a basketball clothing brand, and slowly I made a name for myself in the community because I spent a lot of time in Barceloneta painting basketball graffiti.

My partner Mike worked as a Marketing Advisor for major companies, and one day he decided to leave everything and bet on his love for basketball with Ball Inn.

Now we’re close to having a multifunctional space where we can practice basketball, hit the gym, play tournaments, but also watch Euroleague or NBA games with friends over a beer. At the same time, a place to be creative — practice DJ sets, exchange garments, work together on projects, maybe learn a new language or a new dance — a place where we can be fully basketball players and creatives in our own way.

How do you think society will benefit from your visions?

My goal is to inspire — especially young and migrant communities — to believe in their own power, creativity, and story. Through my work, I promote emotional awareness, cultural unity, and conscious growth. It’s not just about entertainment; it’s about transformation and real human connection, teaching with pride and love that when we share from our essence, we click with the network we live in and influence it.

What does success mean to you? What are your rules for success?

Success is having a physically and mentally healthy life — being balanced between what can be controlled and what cannot.

My rules:

Organize your time, take it step by step, surround yourself with people who want to see you win.

Trust your intuition, be kind, enjoy life.

My motto is: “Less is more.”

The Fox Magazine is all about inspiration. What/who inspires you the most?

There is something impossible to avoid that inspires me deeply: war and love. Since becoming aware of how my mind works, I stopped taking disagreements personally.

Love and ego inspire me. I know I’m a romantic, and I used to take my relationships with women very personally — but I understood that diversity also inspires me. It inspires me to create songs about it. I’m inspired by people who see both the good and bad in me because I know they are mirrors.

Rap inspires me a lot — rap battles, music, fashion — and I’m inspired when humans do things once thought impossible.

What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I practice exercises inspired by Native American drums and chants from cultures like the Cherokee, Sioux, and Apache. It’s crazy because I’ve never been to North America, but I feel these traditions deeply rooted in my identity.

What is your favorite motto, quote, or words to live by?

Less is more. Until the end. Be kind. I always liked 50 Cent’s quote: “Get rich or die trying” 😛

What’s next for Galgo and Ball Inn EU?

Right now, I’m in a planning phase. I’m working with new people, and the goal is to position myself as an international artist. With the support of a brand like Converse, I want to make the most of it and squeeze out all my creative juice. I’m rebranding the graffiti-intervened garment line — we’re creating the marketing and promotional strategy.

On the music side, several DJ sets are coming in Barcelona, along with recordings, while also seeking expansion across Spain and Europe.

With Ball Inn, we’re still looking for investors for the “Home Court,” a sport-entertainment center with full facilities in the city, and for “Off The Court,” creating the strategy — online and offline — and working with the team to launch DJ workshops and next events, while also seeking new sponsors for an online platform during 2026.
