On Friday night, SpringHill, the creative and entertainment brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, welcomed Art Basel attendees to its experience at Billionaire Boys Club, featuring Hebru Brantley and more talented artists in a celebration of creative expression.
Rick Ross and Savannah James were in attendance, along with other notable attendees including former NFL wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, sports journalist Ashley Nicole Moss, music producer and international DJ Jae Murphy, rapper-singer SAINt JHN, The Shop co-creator Paul Rivera, music executive Lex Borrero, political commentator and television personality Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, attorney Eddie Osefo, photographer Ravie B, music producer Tank God, visual artist and author Reyna Noriega, artist Steve E and more.
Celebrated the launch of SpringHill’s zine, “The Program Vol. 2,” in a way that rejects formulaic creativity, offering the opportunity to interact with the art up close through in-person activations by the zine’s creative stars. Hebru Brantley served as contributing editor on the zine, after being inspired while looking through The Program Vol. 1 at SpringHill’s Art Basel experience last year.
The experience featured in-person activations from four of the zine’s creative stars, along with an appearance by the zine’s contributing editor, Hebru Brantley. Activations included:
-
A Touch of SSSkin: An up-close-and-personal look at Elle Barbeito’s process of using python skins to create art
-
You are the Visual: An immersive photography experience where guests see themselves portrayed through the lens of photographer Braylen Dixon
-
Heart to Art: An intimate moment with Sydnie and Haylie Jimenez, the creators of the Hebru Brantley sculpture that graces the zine’s cover
-
Art & Sound: A special DJ set by multidisciplinary artist Dom McLennon
A surprise musical performance by hip-hop mogul Rick Ross capped off the night.
The Program is SpringHill’s commitment to continually honoring artists. Over 16 artists were hand selected to participate in SpringHill’s Zine, The Program, Vol. 2 because of their uniquely creative points-of-view, the depth of their storytelling and their commitment to their craft.
