Solitaire Bliss surveyed 1000 Americans about what hobbies they love, why they love them, and which are the best for their finances.

Key Findings:

  • Video gamers ranks #8 hobby with the best bang for your buck in 2024.

    • Online gaming, video game developing, computer building, 3D modeling/printing, coding, robotics & E-Sports are all in the top 50 hobbies with the best bang for your buck.
  • Gamers spend an average of $71.48 a month on their passion (#11 most expensive hobby).

  • The average American devotes 9 hours per week to their hobbies.

  • Stress relief is the #1 desired outcome for engaging in hobbies.

  • Over half (55%) agree that inflation is making their hobbies less accessible to them.
