Over Half Of Americans Think Dreams Aren’t Fit For The Current Economy
0 comments
Dreams are just that — unrealistic, according to a majority of Americans.
JobSage recently surveyed 1,200 Americans in the workforce about their current jobs versus their dream jobs growing up. So, what would Americans do for work if they could have their pick? Professionals ranked which industry they would want to work in, and technology came out on top.
Findings
- Technology ranked the No. 1 dream industry, followed by entertainment and art and design.
- 46% of respondents who dreamed about working in the tech industry actually achieved it.
- Top dream organizations: Google, Apple, University or a school.
- Across industries, the median “dream” salary is $120,000 — that’s more than double the current median salary of about $50,000.
