There are little ways we can make someone’s day, even if it’s just a smile. The world opens up once we step outside of our bubble and get to know a neighbour.
I co-wrote this song with Darrelle London one day while sitting on her back porch in downtown Toronto. We were looking into the surrounding backyards and wondering about her neighbours’ lives and talking about how easy it is to judge people without knowing their story – building fences literally and metaphorically.
