Abby J Hall Releases New Song: Neighbour

There are little ways we can make someone’s day, even if it’s just a smile. The world opens up once we step outside of our bubble and get to know a neighbour.
The new song, “Neighbour,” asks a lot of questions, reflecting on how we as a society don’t always take the time to truly know someone who may live right next door, let alone trust them.
I co-wrote this song with Darrelle London one day while sitting on her back porch in downtown Toronto. We were looking into the surrounding backyards and wondering about her neighbours’ lives and talking about how easy it is to judge people without knowing their story – building fences literally and metaphorically.
It doesn’t matter where you live or where you’re from, we’re all someone’s neighbour and contribute to this society. There is power in trust and love – we are better together.
