Chin Injeti Releases Music Video Ft. Teon Gibbs: For The Love Of Life

Vancouver-based artist Chin Injeti releases his new single, “For The Love Of Life”, along with a music video.

This new track features fellow artist Teon Gibbs and deals with the way women of color are treated in today’s society.

Chin Injeti‘s new single, “For The Love of Life” ft. Teon Gibbs paints the picture of how women of color are mistreated in society.

“Women are the vital backbone of the family unit. They are the givers of life. When we disrespect them, we disrespect life,” he says.

A significant lyric, inspired by the artist’s personal experience is “Teach them to say your name the right way.”

“When I was young, no one even tried to say my name properly,” he explains. “With so much history and heritage attached to these names, one shouldn’t have to beg for that common courtesy.”

Injeti goes on to say that this song can be seen as a lesson, to be learned while at home, in the car, at work, or wherever one might find space and time to reflect.
