DNP Releases Software Update for Snap Lab All-in-One Mini Photo Printing Kiosk System
DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation (DNP IAM) announced the availability of a major software update for the SL620A Snap Lab and DS-Tmini.
The new version 3.3 provides a range of enhancements to the photo system based upon DNP’s award-winning dye-sublimation printers. It adds new print formats, new photo design layouts, and operational improvements to the industry-leading countertop photo kiosk for Events and Retail.
As part of the update, the panoramic printing functionality has been enhanced to add a collage-making feature. This capability, which supports 2 to 30 images combined onto one panoramic print, allows the user to move the images around within the layout or rearrange them as desired.
Other feature enhancements include the ability to create popular 2×6-inch photo strips, and the possibility to delete orders after a print job has been added in order to protect customers’ privacy.
The new software update also provides enhanced security. A password function has been added to the system in order to enter settings, offering two levels of access passwords: “Administrator”—who has access to all settings— and “Operator”—who has configurable but more limited access to settings.
This all-in-one photo kiosk system combines DNP’s award-winning DS620A dye-sublimation photo printer, and the DNP DS-Tmini order terminal head with customized software, for an easy and intuitive workflow that provides wireless smartphone connectivity, and the ability to create numerous photo products from high-quality prints to photo books.
The SL620A also features a powerful quad core processor, a high-resolution touchscreen panel, and a wide range of media card readers.
Founded in 1876, DNP is the world’s largest diversified printing/coating technologies company. Their operations include commercial printing, packaging, decorative materials, electronics, business forms and imaging products.
