Top 3 Largest Research Study Reveals Why Only 9% Of Businesses Succeed

Top 3 Largest Research Study Reveals Why Only 9% Of Businesses Succeed

From a trailer park on government assistance, Candy Valentino started her business at 19 years-old with no degree, no corporate background, and no money.

She successfully started, scaled, and successfully exited businesses in service, retail, e-commerce, and product manufacturing in addition to creating a vast real estate portfolio as an investor.

And now, Valentino has conducted one of the top three largest research studies ever been done on entrepreneurship and businesses, surveying 2,000 businesses and 17,000 entrepreneurs over an 18-month time period. Her findings reveal exactly why 91% of all businesses fail in their first 10 years…but more importantly, why the 9% succeed.

“Building a successful business will require different talents, strategies, and stills to go from startup to growth, to scale, to optimization, and to exit,” says Valentino. “The skills you developed that helped you start in business are not the same skills you need to sustain in business.”

Valentino is a WSJ best seller, business growth expert, investor, top 1% podcast host, and has a syndicated TV show. She is proof anyone can set themselves up for success as a small business owner—regardless of your childhood, background, or level of education. Valentino grew up in a trailer park with two teenage parents, started her own business at age 19 with a six-week run rate on an SBA loan, opened a non-profit, built a cash-flowing real estate portfolio, and successfully exited multiple businesses before she turned 40.

Through her success in business, Valentino founded a non-profit charity at the age of 26. She bought and donated a building to the organization. Since then they have saved thousands of lives and Valentino has been actively involved, personally raising millions for the charity. During her two and a half decades as a founder, investor and entrepreneur she has been named to Top Business Leaders 40 Under 40, Top 50 Women In Business, Top 10 Business Consultants by Yahoo Finance, and was the youngest female to receive the Governor’s Award in Entrepreneurship in Pennsylvania.

Valentino was recently selected by Success Magazine as ‘Women of Influence’ and ‘Leaders Who Get Results’ with names like Tony Robbins and Brené Brown. After the exit of her last company, Valentino started sharing her real-world business and investing strategies online, gathering an audience of millions. She’s been featured and interviewed in numerous TV, radio, and magazine articles – not only for business and entrepreneurship – but also for her advocacy and philanthropic work, and was recently named ‘Persons of Distinction’ for in Arizona.

Valentino is a published author and host of “The Candy Valentino Show” featuring in-depth conversations with some of the world’s most successful minds, including Tony Robbins, Daymond John, Ed Mylett, and Heidi Zak, alongside valuable insights drawn directly from Valentino’s 26 years of expertise. Her book, Wealth Habits: 6 Ordinary Steps to Achieve Extraordinary Financial Freedom, hit multiple best seller lists, including topping the Wall Street Journal Best Seller List.
