When Berlin singer-songwriter, fashion designer, filmmaker, and activist Mogli first watched a documentary about the fast-fashion industry’s impact on women involved in both sweatshop labor, as well as on the environment, she realized that she had to make sustainability a top-line issue in her life.
Flash forward to 2019, and with a fair fashion line under her belt, and a commitment to only wearing sustainable fashion (favorites: Reformation, Everlane, Filippa K, and vintage!) and make-up, Mogli combines her passion for sustainability into all of her creative endeavors.
Her global Netflix film, ‘Expedition Happiness,’ a film about her journey with her then-boyfriend from Alaska to Mexico in their DIY, sustainably converted school bus-to-mobile home, was a hit in German theatres. The soundtrack cracked the top 40 in Europe, and on her most recent trip to Ethiopia with Viva Con Agua (a German NGO that builds wells in clean water-deprived areas), she wrote & performed a song about the issues with local jazz musicians in Amharic (Ethiopia’s native tongue).

Mogli’s new EP, ‘Patience’ is out March 22nd (check out the gorgeous video, “Another Life,” at Billboard), and she’s kicking off her US headlining tour this spring, with more plans to deepen her involvement in fair fashion/beauty on the way.
