Even if you’re back working in an office, video calls and meetings are likely scattering your calendar more than they used to.

A new survey from Preply finds those online interactions are making us more anxious, fatigued and overall awkward.

• On average, Americans spend 5.5 hours per week on video calls.
• 49% say video calls are more fatiguing than in-person meetings.
• 31% say they don’t wave or say goodbye verbally.
• 75% have tried to speak on a work video call, been interrupted by a coworker starting to speak and abandoned what they were going to say.
