CES 2023 Recap: Experiencing The World’s Most Influential Tech Event

The global tech industry came together again to network, gain insights and most importantly be inspired by the technology changing our world for the better.

CES stands for Consumer Electronics Show and it’s the largest yearly tech convention in the world, hosted in Las Vegas, NV. With 3200+ exhibitors and over 115,000 attendees, the conference was a place for opportunity and innovation.

CES included an array of things to do such as company announcements, keynotes, product unveilings, and even happy hours happening at various locations around Las Vegas. See some of the details below.

    New Products & Announcements

Photography: There were lots of displays of photography brands showcasing new technology surrounding next generation cameras such as Sony, Canon and Nikon – three industry leaders that are paving the way for the future of photography.

Audio: There are plenty of headphones, speakers, and other audio equipment coming from brands like Sony, Samsung, LG, Raycon, JBL, Sonos, House of Marley, Audio Technica, etc.

Gaming: Gaming was brought to the forefront throughout CES with TV displays, audio and even VR. A major standout was the OLED Flex, a self-bending TV that allows you to control the curve of the angle by remote. A first of it’s kind.

Smart Home: While it doesn’t usually catch much attention, the smart home market is essential and very present at CES. Notable brands such as LG and Samsung usually announce their intelligent appliances at CES and this year they brought great new products to the table in every aspect. There were also other key players like Google, Honeywell, Razer, Ring, and more.

Automotive: Cars and mobility are always hot topics at CES conventions. Keep an eye open for announcements if you’re into new vehicle technologies, such as electric cars, self-driving tech, and more. Big players usually include BMW, GM, Qualcomm, and others.

    Experiences

There were many locations around the strip of Las Vegas that hosted awesome experiences and a great way to network with the tech industry. While we attended a few great events like the Equality Lounge with The Female Quotient at the ARIA Sky Lounge Suite, our team also joined the global VR content community and attended an event by DeoVR.

DeoVR is the Swiss Army knife of VR video players which supports any formats, subtitles, audio tracks and much more. The event was hosted at the Museum of Selfies and was a casual meetup featuring virtual reality, delicious food and drinks. It was the perfect opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the show floor to mix and mingle with other VR/AR enthusiasts and discover the possibilities of this cutting-edge technology.

What To Look Forward To Next Year

CES always impresses the world with some of the latest and most innovative technology around. There is some crazy things that get showcased at this conference. This year was no exception, and this article has plenty of evidence through our experiences.

CES 2024, will be happening again Jan. 9-12, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV.
