Study: 93% Of Americans Have A “Side Hustle”

Inflation is forcing many Americans to realize one job just simply isn’t enough to make ends meet nowadays.
A nationwide survey found 93% of full- and part-time working Americans currently have at least one side hustle.
More than half say they are considering starting or taking up another due to inflation.
- Average monthly income from side hustles: $483
- Most common side gigs: taking online surveys, selling items online, freelance work
- Average hours spent per week on a side hustle: 13
Technology has made it easier than ever to earn some extra cash. DoorDash, Uber, and Etsy are just some of the apps that are growing in popularity.
But it’s not all work and no play. The survey found 90% actually enjoy their side hustle, and 49% would quit their full-time job if they made enough money from it. In fact, 41% like their side hustle more than their full-time job.
