Detroit-born, LA transplant artist KNDRGRTN released his new single “City of Angels” on April 24.
KNDRGRTN’s unique sound has already received praise from Complex and Elevator following the release of his debut “Insert Here” with Complex dubbing him as “an artist that could be very well one to watch for the future”.“City of Angels” is a gritty anthem to the nightlife of its namesake, Los Angeles.
Over a moody, atmospheric backdrop, KNDRGRTN raps about “raising hell” in the city with a sense of self-confidence showcased in his nonchalant delivery. Channeling punk-rock influences like Fall Out Boy with the hip hop prowess of Kanye West, KNDRGRTN sits comfortably at the intersection between rap and alt-rock. The track is the first single from the forthcoming EP due out in July – produced entirely by Beewirks whose credits include Pusha-T, Lil Wayne, and Jeezy.
