Yxng Bane And DoRoad Present: Bruk Down

Yxng Bane drafts in upcoming drill star DoRoad to hit a gritty Big Zeeko beat for his new single “Bruk Down.”

A musical draughtsman that continues to evolve and deliver a fertile catalog of music, Yxng Bane teams up with rising drill rapper DoRoad for his first single of the year “Bruk Down.”

The track comes as a follow up to last year’s weighty releases that included the percussive summer sizzler “Birthday” with Stefflon Don and his feature on the luminous, Afrobeat-inspired “Winners” alongside Smoko Ono, Chance The Rapper and Joey Purps. “Bruk Down” sees Yxng Bane flip into a gritty drill beat from Big Zeeko as he flexes his lyrical prowess and draws on his early drops that featured his heavy rap flows and bold delivery. Sitting back-to-back on the verses with DoRoad, Yxng Bane slides in his signature, melodic style for the hook before the rising Driller lets off his energetic bars.

Having kept a close eye on DoRoad’s come up, Bane explains how the track came to life:

“Big Zeeko managed to give me something that reminded me of the past and despite where I am as an artist today, the beat reminded me of Yxng Bane. There was something missing though, and when I made this track I just thought ‘Oh, I could hear him on this.’ We got in touch, we wrapped it up pretty fast then we shot the video straight away!”

Mastering the ability to flit between styles and deliver a diverse catalog that spans chart hits and underground anthems, Yxng Bane plays a central role in British music. From his never-ending stream of insanely catchy hooks and unique melodic lyricism that have been called upon time and time again, to his fierce rap verses, Bane has graced the U.K. Top 40 8 times, amassing hundreds of millions of streams. His fearless approach to music has seen him constantly evolve and share his talents with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Headie One, KSI and Wes Nelson, as equally as he does with newcomers such as DoRoad.

Reminiscent of his earlier underground smashes and leaning on raucous drill energy, Yxng Bane delivers an exciting collaboration for “Bruk Down,” setting the stage for a new place in his artistry.
