Americans Spend Over $58,000 On Gaming In A Lifetime
From buying COD points in Call of Duty: Vanguard to spending money on skins and special bundles in League of Legends, many Americans find themselves dishing out their savings to play their favorite online games.
This made the All Home Connections team wonder, how much does it cost to be a gamer over the course of a lifetime and what do gamers spend the most money on?
They surveyed 1,000 gamers and found that the average gamer spends around $76 each month on gaming. That includes internet, in-app purchases, new games, and gaming equipment, amounting to roughly $1,000 a year and over $58,000 over the course of a lifetime.
Why is gaming so expensive? Gamers reported spending the most on buying new games (19.50% of respondents) and in-app purchases (19% of respondents).
