Antarctic Dream Team Of Robert Swan And Barney Swan To Lead 2041 ClimateForce Antarctica Expedition

Travelers, adventurers, and climate change leaders will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become part of the global force of change.

    Expedition dates are from November 3, 2021 – November 14, 2021.

With the mounting call to focus on the importance of climate change dominating headlines and global policy agendas, 2021 is the ideal year for the launch of the 2041 ClimateForce Antarctica Expedition. Led by explorers and Antarctic preservationists Robert Swan and Barney Swan, and produced in partnership with The Explorer’s Passage (the U.S adventure travel company), this incredible journey will set sail on November 3, 2021, and be guided by a team of Antarctic specialists to the majestic “7th Continent.”

Both a premier floating climate change learning lab, as well as an ultimate adventure trip, the 2041 ClimateForce Antarctica Expedition will become a life-changing experience for anyone who reserves a cabin on the Ocean Atlantic, considered the perfect vessel for cruising the Antarctic waters.

“We are excited to move forward with this year’s expedition and adventure,” notes Robert Swan, founder of the 2041 Foundation.

“The need to focus on climate change has never been more urgent and this expedition allows for organizations, students and adventurers to come together and not only explore one of the most beautiful destinations on Earth, but to better understand the urgency for change and how they can become involved and actually part of the force of change.”

No other polar region expedition on the planet has a more comprehensive on-board programming schedule than the 2041 ClimateForce Antarctica Expedition in 2021. With a renowned ‘Leadership on the Edge’ program (tested for 23 years and 30 journeys), guests will partake in a unique blend of leadership development, up-to-date climate change training, and sustainability education to help on their personal climate leadership journey. By joining the 2041 ClimateForce Antarctica Expedition in 2021, all travelers will become part of a vast global movement of change leaders from across the planet.

Robert Swan, the first person in history to walk to both the North and South Poles, went on to start the 2041 Mission and he dedicates his life to the preservation of Antarctica and the environment through the promotion of sustainability practices. Joining Robert will be his son Barney Swan, the first person in history to trek to the South Pole powered entirely by renewable energy. Combined, the Swan’s have guided over 4,000 people to the Polar regions. In addition to the Swan’s, the expedition will be guided by adventure travel expert Jeff Bonaldi, CEO/founder of The Explorer’s Passage, a travel company created with the mission to use adventure travel to preserve the planet.

Set to launch on November 3, 2021, the adventure coincides with the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the human discovery of the Antarctic. The 12-day itinerary begins in Ushuaia, Argentina, the port city and Antarctica adventure hub, before setting sail through the Beagle Channel and the Drake Passage. The expected stops in Antarctica will be Crystal Sound, Fish Islands, and Deception Island, the former center of the Antarctica whaling industry.

“We are thrilled to be joining forces with both Robert Swan and Barney Swan and 2041 ClimateForce,” explains Jeff Bonaldi, CEO/founder of The Explorer’s Passage. “We share the Swan’s passion to provide travel and adventure with a mission.

With Climate Change being our most daunting global issue, the 2041 ClimateForce Antarctica Expedition provides an opportunity to learn and grow and come back from the expedition with a new perspective that hopefully ignites a passion to help with the mission. I don’t know anyone that has come back from Antarctica without a renewed respect and awe for our planet and the urgent need to save it.”
