Why Escape Rooms Are One Of The Safest Activities During Covid-19
During these challenging times when we are all walking a fine line between being afraid to leave our home and going stir crazy, there is light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to finding a fun activity that is a low risk of getting Covid-19.
While it may be easy to overlook the benefits of escape rooms, they are in fact an essential business and should be treated as such. They are safer than restaurants, museums, movie theaters, sporting events, and bars as it is an environment that can be controlled.
Escape rooms offer people a live-action game experience in which players become active participants in their immersive stories. They must work together as a team to solve intriguing problems, escape from precarious situations, and unravel the plot before time runs out. The rooms will keep you on your toes for 60 minutes and offer a much-needed respite.
In May, Google launched the Be Kind to Your Mind campaign in collaboration with the CDC to share tips and resources to individuals on how to cope with stress during the pandemic. As we all know, mental health is just as important as physical health which is why getting out for an hour or so is crucial. Whether you are going for a walk, spending time with family, or yes, even going to an escape room, it’s imperative to keep your mind active.
60out Escape Rooms has 23 rooms in seven (7) locations throughout Los Angeles and also offers virtual escape rooms for those who live outside the area or would rather play from their home. 60out’s rooms are one of the safest activities during the pandemic for the following reasons:
- Private Booking – Each room holds 2-6 people, a group that YOU feel safe to bring—i.e. significant other, family member(s), roommate(s), and/or friend(s)
- Private Lobby – Only one (1) group is allowed in the lobby at a time to ensure that social distancing is maintained
- Hand Sanitizer Stations –Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout each location
- Handwashing – Each group will be required to wash their hands before and after playing
- Extra Cleaning Time – In order to ensure everyone’s safety, extra time will be allotted in between games for cleaning and disinfecting
- Masks – Game masters and players must wear a mask at all times
- Temperature Check – Guests will have their temperatures checked prior to entering the building
- Waivers –Will now be emailed and filled out at home

I am trying to find something fun to do with my friends but everything is shut down because of COVID. You said that escape rooms are 2-6 people that you bring in. I bet I could find one that is open near us maybe.
