Why America Is Still Ideal For People To Seek A Better Life

Ever wondered why people move to America?

There are a good number of reasons why people want to move to America and live out the rest of their lives within its borders.

Some immigrants move there because they hope to get a job there, others go to be with a loved one, and many others, just to get a taste of the American Dream. The expression has gained popularity, and for a good reason.

The American Dream is based on the Declaration of Independence, which proclaims that “all men are created equal” with the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” And as James Truslow Adams a great American writer and historian designate: “life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement (…) regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position.”

The concept of the American Dream itself has become rather blurred now, many young people, for example, students, in writing university essays already show and describe a completely different attitude to this expression than their ancestors – you can read more about this on many Internet resources. It is interesting that a country that is an unchanged link in the leading top-5 countries of the world is highly changeable in the eyes of its own citizens. Let’s take a closer look.

How is it considered, the USA promises not only the ideals of American society itself but also the ideals of life for everyone across the globe – because the main value of the country is human freedom and capabilities. America despite still young age generally has experienced many good and bad events, but still occupies a place in the list of leaders of influential countries, as well as countries with the highest living standards.

America attracts many people seeking a better life, and these are some of the reasons:

EDUCATION

For every parent who wants quality education for their child, America is the place to get it, because the standard of education for students is quite high, compared to other parts of the world. And if you want to send your child to college or university, the school system in America is top notch, with 13-15 colleges in American ranking amongst the top 20 universities in the world, making America the ideal place where good education is almost guaranteed. Schools teach students to excel at math, science, history, writing, art, and research.

According to statistics, 93% of Americans over the age of 25 have graduated from high school; 66% attended one college or another; 47% have an associate or bachelor’s degree; 9% have master’s, doctorate or professional degree.

ECONOMY

The U.S. dollar has earned respect from the world, as the primary reserve currency, for its stability over the years. Among all the world countries today, America currently ranks 9th in nominal GDP per capita and 6th in GDP per capita at PPP.

Even down to households, a survey of all OECD countries has shown that Americans generate the highest average household income all around the world, giving the country another reason to seek a home within its borders.

HEALTH

It is true that the healthcare system is quite expensive and might cause people to seek a life there to worry due to the high cost of healthcare. But the price is very much worth it. Since 1975, about 9 of the 10 most significant medical discoveries and advancements had an American actively participating in its success. And since 1966, more Americans as earned the Nobel Prize for Medicine, than other parts of the world.

These statistics show the quality of medicine in America, and how it guarantees to provide the best treatment one might need.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

A statistics paper recorded in May 2017 showed that the rate of unemployment in America sat at only 4.3%. Of course, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation changed dramatically for the worse. But with workforce productivity, the United States ranks amongst the top 5 countries in the world even now.

This makes America an ideal place for hardworking people seeking a good way out of poverty, by working and earning from it, in order to live a good life. In America, skills do not go to waste. Employers are usually on the lookout for people who have the talent and capability, for the betterment of their companies. Even if they have to help you move into America, by helping you get a visa and a comfortable place to live. Writers, doctors, vocalists, any skill you have is welcomed in the U.S.

All of these points and plenty more are the foundations of the American Dream, and why they will continue to be a great nation in many years to come. But all this good thing did not come by surprise, over the last 100 years, America has worked hard to ensure their country is a safe place to live and protecting the lives of their citizens. And this is not the end. America is still in a progressive state, getting better and continually raising living standards, ensuring that it remains a place for people seeking the ideal life.
